Scientific Research
Knowledge of the natural, historical and cultural heritage and conservation problems are fundamental objectives for a protected area. The very role of the promotion of scientific research is one of the institutional aims of the parks, as stated in Article 1 of Law 394/91. Since its earliest years of life, the Park Authority has done its utmost to carry out research with the support of the State Forestry Corps through the Territorial Environmental Coordination (CFS - CTA) and the precious collaboration of the Territorial Office for Biodiversity of Pratovecchio ( CFS - UTB), manager of the Casentinesi Biogenetic Reserves.
