An important centre valley of the Bidente, a river that bisects the village and that for centuries has marked the border between the Papal States and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. It is home to the Park Community. Its territory includes Corniolo (near the Garden of the Apennine flora of Valbonella and the Valdonasso wildlife park) and Campigna, a famous town in the middle of large fir forests and magnificent mixed forests. The small ski resort of Burraia-Monte Falco is also notable.
