In order to prevent damage to the priority habitats of the area, the products are transported by air via helicopter of the State Forestry Corps, also it specializes in this kind of environmental restoration activities.

During the works we were removed pylons and steel structures and concrete area of ​​departure and arrival area of ​​the old ski lift at the service of the two tracks that led from Mount Gabrendo downstream up to the Chalet the Burraia. The plant, built in the 60s in the face of a franchise no longer in force, has not been used for decades. Hence the decision to forecast the dismantling. Also removed were old wooden structures on either side of the tracks into disuse.

The interventions of the project financed and approved by the Park, were conducted dall'UTB the CFS of Pratovecchio, thanks to the professionalism and preparation of forest workers. Coordinator of the work was the vice chief forestry added Giovanni Quilghini, Cape dell'UTB - CFS Pratovecchio.

This major intervention, an example of a concrete action for the conservation of the environment and natural values ​​of the area, is the result of close cooperation between the CFS - UTB Pratovecchio and Casentino Forests National Park.

For some years the synergy was strengthened by the definition of a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the operational capacity to implement conservation and enhancement of the territory.
